Daily Prayer - March 3
Please join me in the sign of our faith. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
Today’s prayer is about mercy. “Mercy” means having compassion and showing kindness and grace with others. God wants us to show love and mercy to others.
How can you do that? Is there someone in your family, or maybe one of your classmates, that irritates you? Be merciful by practicing patience with them.
Can you think of someone who is lonely or hurting? Be merciful just by talking to them or sharing time with them.
Is there someone in your family who works extra hard? Be merciful by helping them whenever you can. Helping with chores at home and right here in our classrooms are things we all need to do.
Mercy is a gift God gives us to share with others. Mother Teresa said:
We cannot all do GREAT things. But we can ALL do SMALL things with GREAT LOVE.
Today, we pray together as a family:
Thank you God for the gift of mercy. Help me during this holy season of Lent to share the gift of mercy with others, just like Jesus did with everyone he met.
Keep us safe, Heavenly Father, and bless each of us with a good day.
We make all our prayers in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen
