Our two lit candles represent HOPE and PEACE.             

Today is Human Rights Day. 

On this day, people around the world join together in prayer that all people will be treated as children of God and receive the basic human rights we all need. 

We pray that world leaders will work together so that all people would receive food, water, shelter and an education.

Let us pray:

Beloved God, share your eyes of love so that we will see beauty in all creation. 

May we do our part to love and respect one another and to work for justice for all people. 

THANK YOU, Father God, for all the blessings in our lives – for food and water, and our homes. Thank you for the opportunity to come to school and learn.

Thank you, God, for sending us the Prince of Peace – may we bring peace and love to all people.
